Imagine graduating from college and having famous figures in the directing industry swarming at the chance to hire you. Well, for Mark Covino and Jeff Howlett, that dream became a reality. Covino and Howlett took their education and hit the ground running with ideas for a film that would inspire people; “A Band Called Death” was born from this determination.
Picked up some fresh local baked goods at Koval's Bakery in Hinesburg to give my visit to Champlain Valley Union High School that little mark of distinction. At 9:00 I met Amy Wardwell and her 20 or so students as they worked on editing their final projects in the media lab. We had a good talk about their curriculum, the students' projects, facilities at CVU and what students were up to after graduation.
