Math Instructor for Probabilities and Statistics, Fall 2010
We need a math instructor to teach one section of our 100-level Probabilities and Statistics course. Classes begin August 30 and end December 17. The learning goals for this course include developing foundational skills and applying statistical knowledge to evaluate statistical data and conclusions based on statistical analysis. This course serves students in the social sciences, Psychology and Human Services majors in particular, and should be geared toward their interests and concerns. We would also like this teacher to be available for individual tutoring to members of the class on an as-needed hourly basis. The pay for this would be added to the course pay.
Minimum qualifications include a Master's degree in a related field and two to three years of teaching experience. Excellent mathematic, oral, and writing skills necessary. Solid knowledge of applicable computer skills also required. An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities may be gained will be considered.
