28th Commencement Exercises

The Commencement Exercises were held on May 16, Saturday, at 11 am, Unitarian Universalist Church. The processional march was led by Sambatucada!, an Afro-Brazilian percussion and Faculty Marshal, Nora Mitchell, Ph.D., Chair of General Studies at Burlington College.

The Opening Ceremony was officiated by Chair of the Board of Trustees, Patrick J. Gallivan, B.A. followed by Invocation of Rev. Richard H. Hibbert, M.Div., Pastor, First United Methodist Church. President Jane O’Meara Sanders, Ph.D., delivered the welcoming address as well as by the Representatives of the Graduates such as: Gerene Freeman for Independent Degree Program and
Vladimir Stradnic for the Campus Program

Vermont Commissioner of Education Armando Vilaseca, M.Ed., gave a substantial and encouraging Commencement Address.
