Vermont Consortium of Academic LibrariesThe Vermont Consortium of Academic Libraries offers Faculty Reciprocal Borrowing for faculty at participating libraries throughout Vermont. For the most up to date list of participants, as well as an online copy of the registration form visit www.vcal.net All borrower's, and their home library, agree to observe the policies of the lending library. Lending library policies differ in terms of material loaned, circulation time periods, and fines or reimbursement for materials not returned (if applicable). Some libraries for instance, do not circulate DVD VHS, and micro-format. Borrowers assume the responsibility for the return of items borrowed. Please note that failure to return items to reciprocal institutions will result in blocks on borrowing privileges at the Burlington College Library. New VCAL Borrower'sNew borrower cards are issued Monday - Friday between 9 am and 5 pm. Before borrowing privileges are issued the requestor's borrowing record at their parent institution library will be verified to be current and clear of obligations that block borrowing privileges. Fines and FeesBurlington College does not charge overdue fees for late materials. However, any material that is 60 days overdue will be considered lost. A replacement bill will be issued. The the default amount will be $40, plus a $10 processing fee ($50 total). If the actual cost of the item is more than $40 you will be charged the replacement cost, plus a $10 processing fee. If an item billed as lost is returned, then the processing fee and the replacement costs are cancelled. | ||
