Paralegal Certificate: Requirements
30 credits are required. All classes are 3 credits unless otherwise noted.
• Introduction to Law, Politics & the Economy (1 credit workshop)
• Legal Research and Writing
• Introduction to Microcomputers or Computer Assessment
• Constitutional Law
• Legal Ethics: Strategies, Theory & Practice
• Vision & Revision
Students are required to participate in 96 hours of hands-on experience in a law office, agency, or advocacy group, or in the Burlington College Legal Clinic. Interns will meet with the program director at several scheduled meeting times to discuss their progress.

• Elder Law, Wills, and Estates (1 credit workshop )
• Environmental Law (1 credit mini-course )
• Other learning activities, such as guided independent study tutorials, may be arranged.
