Independent Degree Program: Registration

The brief residency component of the IDP enables students to register for coursework, meet faculty face to face, map out their semester's goals and expectations, and meet other Burlington College Independent Degree seekers from all around the country. The residency takes place at a local conference center, which looks over Lake Champlain. Matriculated IDP students must attend a residency for each semester enrolled. IDP students begin each residency with a registration appointment. During this appointment, students meet with IDP staff, admissions staff, the Library Director, and the business and financial aid offices. Prior to the residency, IDP students are asked to provide information such as arrival time, departure time, confirm dietary preferences, and discuss any special requirements for room accommodations.

To provide this pertinent information and to schedule a registration appointment, please contact the IDP Director, David Joy at 1-800-862-9616, or email David at djoy@burlington.edu.
