Currently science faculty at The Gailer School, a small independent school for students grades 7-12 in Middlebury. His primary focus in teaching is facilitating opportunities for students to experience the natural world through hands-on investigation and research, while attempting to instill a sense of stewardship for our environment. Other professional interests and experience include sustainability, boatbuilding, sailing, guiding, and music. Personal interests include woodworking, self-sufficiency, ski-mountaineering, tinkering with diesel cars and bio-fuels, expeditions and traveling, local issues, sailing and exploring his backyard.
