The Burlington College Library consists of approximately 13,000 books and journal volumes, 1,000 videos, and 500 sound recordings. The collection focuses on cinema studies and film production, transpersonal psychology, and writing and literature, along with other subjects. The Frank Manchel Film Studies Collection, the Allan Nichols Film Music Collection, the Institute for Social Ecology Library, and Burlington College Degree Projects are also part of the Library.
Most of the collection is made available to patrons of other academic and public libraries through interlibrary loan. Alumni have borrowing privileges and community members may make arrangements for access to the collection. On-campus students have guest borrower privileges at the University of Vermont Bailey-Howe Library.
The Library is open approximately 320 days a year, 68 hours per week during the fall and spring terms, 38 hours a week in the summer term and during intersession periods.
