Carol is a Spiritual Director and Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor.  She provides compassionate integrative care for heart, mind, and spirit for individuals, couples and groups, engaging classic and contemporary practices informed by research.  A leader in the field of integrative care, her counseling and spiritual care practices are located in an Integrative Healthcare group in South Burlington as well as a faith supported counseling and therapeutic center in Essex Jct.

Carol is founder and director of the Silver Dove Institute for Spiritual Care, providing professional
training for counselors, healthcare providers, spiritual and religious leaders as well as educators.  

She is a community research affiliate with the Programs in Integrative Medicine at the UVM College of Medicine.  Carol serves as adjunct faculty at several Colleges as well as Spiritual Life Centers.  As an assistant professor at UVM from 1999-2008, she developed nationally recognized programs in Crisis Management, Differing Abilities and Accommodations, and Integrative Counseling and other areas.    

Carol is dedicated to supporting the compassionate development of the whole person through an integrative orientation to wholeness and healing that engages deep contemplation and service within the context of healthy community. 

Carol enjoys playing the Celtic harp, gardening, exploring beaches, biking and playing with her kitten Sophia.  A visual artist and author, she wrote her first play when she was 8 years old and has been writing ever since.
