Taking Courses for College Credit
Vermont’s Dual Enrollment Program allows high school students to take college courses while still in high school, or during the summer after they graduate. Students can take one college course tuition-free, pending available state funding. Students are required to pay for any additional lab or equipment fees.
Taking a college course allows high school students to
- experience classes at the college level
- get a head-start on earning college credits
- try out new subjects and courses that aren’t available in high school.
You may earn both high school and college credit with a Burlington College course. Talk with your high school counselor about this possibility.
