Printer-friendly version

Cuba has been recognized as a leader in population health. This success has been largely the result of a unique collaboration between strong systems of primary care and public health. In this era of rapid change in the U.S. healthcare system we have seen an increase in emphasis on the role primary care may play in improving healthcare access, quality and affordability.

The overall goal of the Exploring Cuba’s Primary Healthcare System is for the participants to gain a better understanding of the Cuban health system, in particular the role of primary care and the interaction between primary care, public health, and the community.
