Junior Graphic Designer

We are seeking a junior graphic designer to develop and produce a broad range print and web materials to support the college's marketing objectives, including student recruitment, alumni engagement, and development. You will work under the supervision of the Director of Alumni and Community Relations and the Creative Director and collaboratively with the Marketing Coordinator. 

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field; At least 2 years of professional experience in graphic design; Expert in Adobe Creative Suite applications on Macintosh platform; Knowledge of pre-press and print practices; Knowledge of preparing graphics for the web; Knowledge of traditional, social media and inbound marketing practices; Proven ability to work independently and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment; Strong attention to detail, a sense of aesthetics and creativity; Proven ability to communicate visually, verbally, and in writing; Proven ability to work as part of a creative team under tight deadlines.

IT Associate

We are seeking a customer-support professional to join our IT team. In this role, you will support faculty, staff, and students in their use of information technology at Burlington College, and help assure the effective functioning of the information technology infrastructure. You will work with a range of individuals at the College to resolve computer questions, assist in maintaining and upgrading the College's infrastructure, assist in the operations of the IT department, and much more.

This is a part-time position, and will require evening work.

Our ideal candidate is focused on customer-service and user experience, with an eagerness to help users be productive with their technology use. Comfort with PCs and Macs required, as are superior communication skills, exceptional interpersonal skills, reliability, and flexibility. The ability to "roll with the punches" as priorities shift is key.

On-Call Facilities/Custodial Associate

We are looking for a custodial associate to work on a part time and on-call basis. Shifts will include weekend and evening work. Responsible for light maintenance and custodial work, and providing security during evening and weekend classes. Prior maintenance and custodial experience is required, as is the need to be flexible in your scheduling. Adjunct Faculty

We are seeking adjunct faculty for the fall 2014 semester. All positions require a Masters Degree (MFA or terminal degree preferred), but a combination of education and relevant work experience may also be considered.

  • Film
    • Instructors needed for production classes. Required skills include directing, cinematography, grip, and editing.
  • Fine Arts
    • Graphic Design
      • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, strong understanding of typographic principles, expertise in both print and digital production, and broad knowledge of the history of graphic design.
    • Fine Art
      • Adept in technical and theoretical art practices such as drawing, painting, illustration, design, community engaged art, public art, and art history.
    • Photography
      • Adept at film and digital processes, and familiarity with alternative processes.
