Kevin Coughlin, Class 2010
Associate of Arts Degree in Craftsmanship and Design
Since graduating - Coughlin is now employed full-time as a cabinetry maker at Tom Moore.
Kevin Coughlin was the first student to graduate with an Associates Degree from Burlington College’s Craftsmanship and Design program. Coughlin took first place at the Vermont Fine Furniture & Woodworking Festival in 2010 for a handcrafted guitar case.
Coughlin’s winning submission in the college-level category was an exquisitely crafted African Mahogany guitar case. The case had beautiful detailing, such as a curly maple edging band and ebony accents. The interior is lined with felt and includes many small drawers.
“I chose Burlington College because I knew it would help me explore a highly skilled trade exactly the way I wanted to.” shares Coughlin. Read More.
