Transfer Students

Printer-friendly version

Transfer students thrive at Burlington College because they often have a deep understanding of their own unique needs and learning styles from other, perhaps more traditional, learning experiences. They understand what motivates them to learn, and they are ready to take a more active role in their education. Many of our transfer students have completed an Associates of Arts degree at a community college, and are now looking to move forward with their education.  They are excited about our majors and offerings, and the ability to individualize their program to suit their specific needs.

Others of our transfer students have felt lost in the crowd in larger colleges and universities. They want a small college, where they are treated as individuals and not just another number.  They want small classes and access to their professors. Burlington College can provide the support and attention they seek in an educational environment.

How to Transfer to Burlington College:

Students may transfer up to 90 credits toward a Bachelor of Arts Degree, or 45 credits toward an Associate of Arts Degree.  By submitting transcripts from each previously attended institution, our transfer advisors can assess how many of your credits are likely to transfer toward your desired degree. We can also project how many and what kinds of credits you will likely need to complete your degree at Burlington College.

For your convenience, we provide a Transcript Evaluation Request Form, which you can download and print. Mail or email the completed form to the Office of Admission.

In addition, transfer students are encouraged to schedule an appointment (either in person or over-the-phone) to discuss their options at Burlington College.

To Apply

Transfer applicants should complete the standard Application for Admission.
