Interactive presentations, seminars and in-classroom workshops focusing on the Cuban medical system at Cuban Poli-clinics, Medical Research facilities, and the Latin American School of Medicine. Led by faculty from the University of Havana School of Medicine this course will provide students with an in-depth look at the Cuban healthcare system from the inside.

  • Alternative Approaches to Medicine
  • Approaches to Infections Disease and Natural Disasters
  • Pediatrics and Children’s Health
  • Cuban Bio-technology at the Center for Neurological Restoration
  • Natural and Traditional Medicine in Cuba
  • Gerontology and Elder Care
  • Medical Education in Cuba

Visits to Cuban poli-clinics, hospitals, biotechnology research and development facilities, the Latin American School of Medicine, Natural and Traditional Medicine Clinic, Children’s Hospital.

The opportunity to interact and exchange professional ideas and experiences with Cuban medical professionals.

Tour of Havana, and opportunity to experience cultural aspects of Havana.
