Jared Carter is currently the executive director of Rural Vermont where he focuses his legal work on civil liberties and consumer rights as well as agricultural policy. From 2009-2010 Jared also served as a law clerk to Justices William Leaphart and Jim Rice at the Montana Supreme Court. In addition to his work as an educator and attorney, Jared involves himself in politics and civic engagement at the community level in both Montpelier and Burlington. He is an avid traveler, outdoorsperson and amateur photographer. Jared and his wife, Yuris, currently live in Burlington. J.D., Vermont Law School.
