The attraction of the Burlington College campus is multi-layered. Its 32-acre campus provides an abundance of space in which students explore their creativity, expand their awareness and engage in the College’s close-knit, intimate academic setting, which offers an extraordinary opportunity for open communication, shared responsibility, and engagement in communities both local and global.
The College’s historic buildings, the beauty of its lush greenery, sparkling blankets of snow and colorful fall foliage, each in its season, open to the expansive vistas of mountains and lake. It also has the distinction of arguably being the only college in the nation with its own beach!
Burlington College is very much a product of the Vermont way of life and is deeply connected to the Greater Burlington area. Its classroom settings break through conventional boundaries and extend into the community itself. Its students and faculty often reach out to the community for subject-matter experts and internship opportunities. The community is welcomed in to take part in educational and social events sponsored by the College.
Vermont is a cultural state, and Burlington, as the Queen City, provides a nucleus for the arts, museums, community organizations and educational resources. Integral to its nontraditional learning experience, the College also utilizes additional sites such as the Burlington City Arts Studio and the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum toward fostering a hands-on learning experience. Its relationship with other area colleges and the city itself provides an even larger campus for its students.
Burlington College’s new campus is located at 351 North Avenue in Burlington Vermont. If arriving on I-89 from points north or south, take exit 14W and head west until Battery Street, where you will turn right and head north. This road becomes North Avenue at the Burlington Police Station, where you will continue north for another half mile. Our property is located directly south of the Lakeview Cemetery, Burlington High School, and North Beach Park on the west side of the street.
*Please take special note of our new address, as our old campus was also located on North Avenue, and older maps or GPS systems may bring up the old 95 North Avenue address.
