Robin Lloyd (2003–Present) co-founded Green Valley Film and Art Center in 1976 (now Green Valley Media), a non-profit organization producing videos, films and books documenting the culture of human rights.
She is the publisher of Toward Freedom, a monthly magazine published in Burlington, Vermont which offers a progressive perspective on world events, and is co-founder of the Peace and Justice Coalition in Burlington, Vermont.
She holds a B.A. in Fine Arts from Brandeis University and a Masters degree in Fine Arts Education from Teachers College at Columbia University. From 1972 to 1975, she taught art in the Rochester, Vermont public schools. Robin serves on the national board of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom and is chair of their Drug Policy Task Force. Her interest in drug policy took her to Colombia in 1996 and 1997, where she shot the footage for Courageous Women of Colombia, a 20-minute documentary on the struggle of women to maintain families and homes in the midst of a vicious civil war.
She has served on the boards of the Peace Development Fund (Amherst, Massachussetts), and the Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity (CVOEO), and has recently accepted a position on the board of the Center for Constitutional Rights in New York.
