On January 1, 2011, Burlington College purchased from the Vermont Roman Catholic Diocese 32 acres of beautiful lawns and woods sloping down to its beach on Lake Champlain. They are graced by two adjoining buildings and a stone cottage offering over 94,000 sq. ft. of interior building space.
During the fall of 2010, a campaign plan was developed to renovate and restore the historic buildings and property. A $4.25 million fund-raising goal was set by the Board of Trustees. The Campaign is scheduled to be completed in November 2016. Presently, gifts and grants of over $2.365 million have been committed.
We ask you to consider joining with many others to help make the College's dream of a new and expanded campus a reality. There are many opportunities for you to “name” various classrooms, meeting spaces, art galleries and floors of the building in tribute to, or in loving memory of, family members and friends.
The other four components of the Sky's the Limit Campaign involve endowing scholarships, curriculum development funds, community outreach and gifts, and the Green Revolving Loan Fund, which supports energy-saving strategies employed by the College.
