The Cuba Teachers exchange programs provide Vermont educators with close-up look at the Cuban education system.Vermont educators will receive 3 graduate credits that may be used to full fill their professional development credit requirements.

By applying and being accepted into this program, students are enrolling in Burlington College's graduate program and will earn three undergraduate or graduate credits for this course.

Interactive presentations, seminars and in-classroom workshops at Cuban schools hosted jointly by Cuban education professionals and U.S. education professionals.

Topics include:

  • Language Teaching
  • Art Education
  • Music, Dance, Theater and Visual Arts
  • Literacy
  • History
  • Mathematics
  • Science
     

Study Cuban Historian/poet/journalist Jose Marti.

Visits to Cuban primary and secondary schools.

The opportunity to interact and exchange professional ideas and experiences with Cuban teachers.

Guided tour of Havana schools including Old Havana, Vedado, Miramar.

Opportunity to visit the University of Havana.
